Music by Ennio Morricone
Lyrics and arrangement by Chip Wood
SATB and Piano
In the historical drama The Mission, Father Gabriel's character is loosely based on the life of Paraguayan saint and Jesuit Roque González de Santa Cruz. The story is set in 1756 and relates the true account of the massacre at a Catholic mission for Guaraní natives in northern Argentina; the lyrics here convey the themes of hope, perseverance, and sacrifice that marked Gabriel's effort to defend the mission against an invading Portuguese military force. In his first encounter with the tribe, Gabriel plays a simple melody on his oboe, using the language of music to open a dialogue with the Guaraní.

WORSHIP THE KING
Music and lyrics by Juan C Calderón
Arranged by Chip Wood
SATB and Piano
Eres Tú was recorded by Mocedades, and was Spain's entry in the Eurovision Song Contest of 1973. Calderón's lyrics were inspired by Federico García Lorca's poem Romance Sonámbulo. However, Mocedades recorded many hymns and songs that reflect the fundamental elements of Christian culture, and Eres Tú is regarded as a song of faith translated as "It's You, Lord."

JESUS, LORD TO ME
Music and lyrics by Dallas Holm
Arranged by Chip Wood
SATB and Piano with optional acoustic guitar
Of this song of worship, Dallas Holm says "After many years of making music, this was the very first album done solely on my own without a record label. I needed the freedom to write the songs, sing them and produce them just the way I thought the Lord wanted them, with no outside pressures. I believe this is one of the finest and most anointed projects ever."

About the Artist
Chip Wood has been arranging choral music since the days of manuscript paper and Blackwing pencils. A lifelong musician, he studied music theory and orchestration at Texas Tech University, where he began arranging halftime shows for college marching bands. Today, Chip balances his creative life as a voice actor and stage performer while continuing to pursue his passion, choral music. When searching for a new piece to arrange, his inspiration often comes from the praise and worship songs of the 1980s—songs that were on the radio, sung at church camp or Sunday morning services that he remembers from his youth. His aim is to introduce these familiar songs to a new generation of choristers using tools such as score videos and learning tracks to generate passsion for and breathe new life into these cherished melodies.
